Making the rounds online is the purported CCTV footage from a Petronas station on Bukit Beruntung, Rawang, showing the corridor to the station’s bathroom and the subsequent discovery that a man had allegedly been hiding in the women’s bathroom.
Posted to Facebook page of grievances, bike tricks and mobile phone recordings of CCTV cameras, We Are Malaysians, a user shared that the September 16 incident could have ended in a far more nefarious manner, as the single woman entered into the bathroom alone.
Luckily, there were two other individuals in the men’s loo next door who were able to swiftly apprehend the man, while also throwing in a few punches in the process (Ed. Note: It’s a fine-line vigilantes, and it’s probably safest to just call the cops).
Shared 1,300 times, and viewed by over 44,000, some users wrote that the suspect “got what he deserved,” while others expressed anger at the situation.
You can never be too safe, and here’s another painful reminder to always stay on guard, for your own sake, and for those around you.
