Gasp. A Kedah man narrowly escaped an accident this morning with his life, after his Proton Persona skidded off the road and straight into the Sik river, at Batu 5.
Twenty-one-year-old Noor Ikhwan Roslan managed to climb out of his submerged vehicle, and swim to safety circa 9:30am, when a member of the public who witnessed the accident called the police.
When Fire and Rescue arrived, the victim was found sitting on the riverbank. Probably wondering how close he came to death, and also how he was going to get that car back.
Rescuers were later able to dredge his vehicle from the river.
