A 26-year-old man celebrating his birthday decided that the only way to do it would be with a selfie from high atop the massive electrical pylon between Menara TM and the Pullman Hotel Bangsar Monday evening.
Our foolhardy birthday boy then proceeded to climb the tower in his search for that birthday moment that says: “I’m a daredevil but also have terrible judgement.”
Passing motorists quickly alerted police, and it was only a matter of minutes before Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene, along with two fire engines, as the witnesses believed that the man was attempting suicide.
They instructed the man to come down, which he did. While no one was hurt, police are investigating whether to press charges.
