Malaysian Fukushima photographer pulls off death-defying marriage proposal

Remember that Malaysian photographer who snuck into the exclusion zones in Fukushima, Japan to take some pretty cool pictures?

Well, he’s back at it again.

Not one for subtlety, Keow Wee Loong has just proposed in a very bold way.

On November 26, the photographer uploaded a photo onto his Facebook page showing him standing on top of the Beipanjiang Bridge in southwestern China to hold up a “Will you marry me?” sign.

“What else can you do, standing 740 meters on top of the highest bridge in the world?,” Keow wrote in the post.

At 565 meters, the Beipanjiang Bridge is expected to be the world’s tallest upon its imminent completion.

Keow then posted a follow-up ‘behind-the-scenes’ video of his daring proposal, which has since been viewed more than 14,000 times:

But the publicity-seeker’s proposal didn’t end there, of course.

Keow brought his then girlfriend, now fiancée, Polish woman Marta Sibielak to Bali, where he showed her the video and officially popped the question and gave her the ring.

A post on Keow’s Facebook page shows the pair in Bali, with eagerly exclaiming she said ‘yes’ and that “Polish girls are awesome !!!”

Got to give it to him though; that’s one hell of a way to propose to his girlfriend.
