A very lucky newborn just got a lifetime of free Grab rides when his mom suddenly went into labor in a Grab vehicle.

According to a report by The Star, the pregnant Grab user booked a ride to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur on Aug 3. But before they could reach the hospital, her water broke.

“She (the mom) said she could feel the water breaking and she really could not stand the pain, so she was screaming and screaming,” said the Grab driver, Grace Nesamani Raju.

“The minute I stopped the car at the entrance, the baby was already out, right in front of the hospital,” Grace told The Star.

Grab Malaysia could barely contain their excitement.

“We’re overjoyed to hear that a baby was delivered in a Grab ride… We couldn’t have been more proud of our driver-partner, Grace, who remained calm and brought both parents and baby safely to the hospital… We’re also preparing something really special for Grace. From all of us at Grab, congratulations to the wonderful parents and their bundle of joy!” Grab Malaysia posted on Facebook.

Grab Malaysia decided to give the baby boy a lifetime of free Grab rides as their birthday gift. Both mommy and baby went for a medical check-up and are doing great.
