Popular local actress Rozita Che Wan had her Toyota Vellfire stolen from her condominium’s parking lot on Tuesday.

According to The New Straits Times, the 43-year-old had parked her car at the parking lot at around 3am, but only realised it was gone when she was about to go to work six hours later.

Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari told the daily that the actress, better known as Che Ta, lost a handbag and several pairs of shoes in the theft.

“Following that, the actress lodged a report at the USJ 8 police station about noon the same day.

“Initial investigations revealed that at least two men were involved in the theft,” ACP Mohammad Azlin was quoted as saying.

He added that surveillance footage from the USJ 11 condominium showed the black MPV leaving the parking lot at around 4am by crashing through the front entrance’s boom gate.

Two people were reportedly seen sitting at the driver and front passenger seat of the vehicle, but the footage did not capture a clear image of the thieves’ faces.

“Investigators are working to ascertain the thieves’ identities, and we urge anyone who has information on the case to contact police.

“The case is being investigated under Section 379A of the Penal Code for vehicle theft,” ACP Mohammad Azlin was futher quoted by the NST as saying.
