A 19-year-old shop assistant was left shaken after accidentally driving her car into the convenient store section of a petrol station in Johor earlier this morning.

The incident occurred at 1:30am, after the woman had finished refueling her car.

Returning to her vehicle, and starting the ignition, she claims that the gas pedal became stuck, and she careened through glass windows and shelves inside the shop before her car came to a halt inside at a Petronas station along Jalan Pesona.

While the woman miraculously escaped the accident without serious injury, only minor abrasions to her face, arms and legs, police will investigate the circumstances that led to the crash.

Police added that the woman has yet to make a formal report of the incident.
