A woman was thrown several feet off the ground after being hit by a car while crossing at Jalan Ampang yesterday.

The unidentified woman, in black t-shirt, denim shorts, and carrying a red handbag, had already crossed two of the lanes in the rain and was on to the third one when a Proton Wira rammed into her, throwing her into the air and landing onto the ground, dashcam footage showed. Nearby motorists then stopped to check on the incident.

“Oh no, she got hit,” a man’s voice could be heard in the one-minute clip. According to the timestamp, it happened in the late afternoon.

He added: “The Chinese lady was trying to run across the street when she was hit … I’m waiting here at the traffic light, but there is another lane where the cars aren’t stopping.”

The video of the incident near Flamingo Hotel was shared by the Info Roadblock JPJ/Polis page. It is not clear whether she suffered any serious injuries.
