A 36-year-old Ipoh fitness trainer, bodybuilder and gym owner has assumed the physical appearance of a man, after taking anabolic steroids, yet still identifies as a woman.
El Lye, who was formerly known as Elaine Lye, noticed the drastic changes after taking the drugs, known to cause male pattern baldness, acne, lowering of voice, increased facial hair growth, and breast atrophy in women users.
Telling reporters from Sin Chew Daily that although she has the body of a man, “I have the heart of a woman.”
Standing just 154cm, she managed to bulk her weight from 42kg to 62kg, transforming her outward appearance so much so that she uses male toilets to avoid confusion when out in public, after altercations with confused security.
She maintains that she is not transgender, nor has she had any surgery.
El Lye opened her own gym Muszle Warrior, in Ipoh, in 2007, working with the motto “go hard or go home.” She challenged recent social media trolls who criticized her appearance to come visit her at her gym for a “free lesson.” You go, girl.
Just remember kids, steroids will give you bad skin and shrink your balls. Avoid.
