A former UMNO Youth leader has discovered that you can’t go around asking for your political rivals to be “shot” without having the police investigate your proverbial (literal?) call to arms.
In response to an unscrupulous Tweet over the weekend, that you can still find alive and well online, Razlan confirmed today that officers from Kuala Lumpur’s central police headquarters will be recording his official statement on the matter as part of their investigations into the incident.

He called for members of the coalition government party DAP to be “shot” in the above March 15 Twitter post.
Unwilling to repent or even take down his statement, he has instead told DAP members that they need to brush up on their Bahasa Melayu, and that the word tembak has many more meanings than its literal one (to shoot).
Emphasizing his point, he’s taken now to re-posting another, more contentious, translation of tembak:

Riiiight. For the record, this is how most of us, including Google, translate tembak:

He is being investigated under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, where it is illegal to make statements with the intention of inciting a class, community or person to cause hard to any others.
