Drunk driver crashes Mercedes into Burger King during afternoon jaunt

A 60-year-old man is expected to be charged soon, after drunkenly driving his Mercedes Benz into a Kota Damansara-area Burger King on a Tuesday afternoon.

While McDonald’s plays cute with names, things are decidedly still GTA at the ‘King.

Petaling Jaya officers say the vehicle appeared to have skidded off the road, hit a pedestrian and two motorcycles that were parked.

Seventy-two-year-old Lee Guo Hoo sustained injuries to his head and legs, and is recovering.

Crashing into a wall of the restaurant, the accident also damaged tables and chairs inside.

Police have now arrested the landscape company manager, who tested positive for being over the legal alcohol limit and will begin investigating charges under the Road Transport Act 1987.

We’ve all been there: Too much to drink, way too much to drink, bad decisions, worse decisions, no regrets until there are SO. MANY. Regrets. But the main point is no one gets hurt, only our ego. For the love of all things good and real in the world: Don’t drink and drive.
