Crazy man caught vandalising Russian embassy CCTV and…stealing a road sign?

You must be super bada** to do what this man did.

A man who was just released from prison found himself back in prison again after he allegedly vandalised a CCTV camera belonging to the Russian embassy in Jalan Ampang on Tuesday.

According to a report by The New Straits Times, the 43-year-old suspect was spotted vandalising the camera at around 12am.

“The man had scaled the embassy wall and started kicking the CCTV camera several times.

“The embassy guard who was in the control room saw the incident and immediately rushed out. However, the man fled the scene,” Wangsa Maju district police chief Superintendent Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif was quoted as saying.

However, that wasn’t the end of the man’s crazy ‘adventure’, though.

Later that night, at around 9.45pm, the police were called in to break up a fight between a foreigner and a man along Jalan Nipah.

As it turns out, the man was reportedly the same guy who had vandalised the Russian embassy!

Supt Mohamad Roy told the daily that the foreigner had spotted the man trying to steal a road sign and he tried to prevent him from doing so.

He added that the man, who had just been released from the Sungai Buloh prison, could be high on drugs when he committed the offences.

We have yet to ascertain the motive of this incident. We are still awaiting an initial report from the Sungai Buloh Prison on the man’s background.

“However we haven’t ruled out the possibility that the man was under the influence of drugs when he vandalised the embassy property,” Supt Mohamad Roy was quoted as saying.
