Art Coco: The man behind Bangkoker’s iconic t-shirts

Art Coco is a Coconuts TV series that profiles the creative personalities shaping Southeast Asia’s up-and-coming contemporary art scene.

The latest Art Coco episode features Oopatham Ratanasupa (Om), best known as the founder and creator of the iconic BANGKOKER t-shirt and design shop, whose creative, consciousness-raising t-shirts have inspired countless visitors from around the world.

But what many people don’t know is that Om is also one of Thailand’s leading architects, urbanists and futurists. He is currently working on rebranding Bangkok’s buses for the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority.

Coconuts TV met up with Om at his shop and studio to take a closer look at the man behind the messages.
