Good news, if you’re a federal civil servant.
The government said it would declare an additional holiday for civil servants on July 8. However, this would apply only if Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on July 6.
If Hari Raya falls on July 5, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa said, there would be no holiday.
“Members of the public who seek Federal services on that day are encouraged to visit the agencies and departments before the Hari Raya holidays,” he said in a statement as reported by The Star Online.
The news site reported that the additional holiday will not apply to state-level civil servants.
