There’s no stopping Malaysian songstress Yuna.
Fresh off getting her own Snapchat filter, the 30-year-old singer-songwriter has notched yet another milestone this year: by getting featured on the NASDAQ Billboard, located right smack in the middle of New York’s famed Times Square.
On Wednesday, the “Crush” singer took to her Twitter page to announce the good news:
“Your Kedah-born girl just went up on the @NASDAQ billboard in Times Square New York today,” she tweeted to her 1.8 million followers.
Yuna told The New Straits Times during an event in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday that she’s ecstatic that she was chosen as the face of the billboard this month.
“Alhamdullilah, I believe this is my rezeki after the release of my album Chapters last May.
“I’ve been working hard in the US for five years now and so to see my face up on the NASDAQ billboard makes it all worthwhile,” she was quoted by the daily as saying.
An American stock exchange company, NASDAQ would feature popular artistes on the giant electronic billboard every month to promote their music.
Congratulations, Yuna. You clearly deserved it!
