Malaysia, are you ready for David Hasselhoff?

David Hasselhoff wants to go on a cruise with you.

No, we’re serious!

Known for playing lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the popular 90s series ‘Baywatch’, The Hoff will be The Captain of this year’s It’s The Ship event.

Dubbed Asia’s largest EDM festival-cruise, the four-day It’s The Ship 2016 music fest will set sail on November 4 from Singapore to Penang and back to Singapore on November 7.

This year’s line up boasts 60 of the world’s most famous artistes such as Far East Movement, Andrew Rayel, Sander Van Doorn, Knife Party and Dada Life, to name a few.

Several Malaysian acts such as Jin Hackman, Twilight Action Girl and Axel Groove will also be taking part in this year’s edition.

“We believe that we have put together a solid, diverse and multi-genre line-up this year,” said Muhammad Iqbal, Group CEO of The Livescape Group, organiser of It’s The Ship.

“With It’s The Ship going into its third year, we wanted to refresh the customer journey by bringing acts whom we think will help us create the perfect engagement with the fans on board.

“But in true Livescape fashion, we still have a couple more things up our sleeves, to further enhance the It’s The Ship experience so we’re excited to see how these different entertainment elements will come together to provide a one of a kind adventure for our returning shipmates and new ones,” he added.

This year will also see the introduction of exciting themed nights on multiple stages. The themes are ‘Sexy By Nature’, ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘Armada Night’.

Taking place on the prestigious Royal Caribbean International 15-deck cruise liner, Mariner of the Seas, cabins prices start at USD588 (RM2,360) per person for a four-person interior cabin and US$5,888 (RM23,600) for a two-person royal suite.
