COCONUTS HOT SPOT — Dataran Cascades, a relatively new building in Kota Damansara is where Brazzo is located, on Level 1.
Situated in front of a colourful water fountain, Brazzo offers its guests a visual feast every night when the lights and water come alive.
Besides an air-conditioned section, there is also a well laid-out al fresco dining space and bar right beside the restaurant. Inside, the casual set-up is given a brush of sophistication thanks to the use of dark wood accents.
Brazzo’s menu has a list of premium cuts of beef, lamb, chicken and seafood. Italian staples like risotto and pizzas are also included.
Kicking off our dinner was a platter of gorgeous plump Hokkaido Scallops served with tangy tomato salsa. Sweet and bouncy in texture, these scallops were something to indulge in especially if you are in a celebratory mood.
To match the indulgent mood, we decided on a Chilled Lobster Tail Salad, as nothing beats the wholesome sweetness of fresh seafood with crisp vegetables. The lobster chunks were so good, we almost ordered a second bowl.
We were in the mood for meats, and so, for mains we tried the NZ Lamb Rack. The premium NZ lamb was meaty and tender; only light spices and herbs were rubbed into the meat before grilling and this enhanced the natural flavours of the lamb.
Equally good, was my grain-fed Fillet Mignon. Perfectly pink and moist inside, the tender fillet was immensely satisfying.
Porky fans would love the Iberico Pork Cheek which was seared and sliced thinly, exposing the perfect layers of lean and fatty meat. The marbling was very even and each bite of the meat was exquisite.
There are several more porky items on the menu like BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Spicy Rub Grilled Pork Ribs and German Pork Platter, just to name some. We definitely need to rope in more dining partners to go back and try these!
When you are pressed for time at lunch, worry not as Brazzo has some decent lunch sets from RM12.90 nett. So, if you are in the vicinity, pop by for some of these.
