Grove, the branded content and creative agency for Coconuts Media Limited, is seeking a talented, detail-oriented, and journalism-aware Thai editor to join its fast-growing team. The role will position you as the company’s key Thai-language editor and quality control specialist. You will have a wide range of tasks, including magazine editing, copyediting, ideation, ad campaign planning, and much more. This role is best viewed as a fusing between traditional journalism skills, branded content skills, and ad agency work. If you have been thinking of dipping your toes in any of those fields, this might be for you.

What is Grove?

We are a content studio backed by a platform that was built for authentic and real storytelling, with all the expertise in-house to create effective, engaging and cost-efficient content and entertainment for brands. Our work harnesses Coconuts Media’s publishing and production expertise as well as our audience of millions across the region to inform our content strategy and creative campaigns.

What we care about most is this:

  • You are open-minded and passionate about working with us.
  • You’re not afraid to share your opinions.
  • You’re a consumer of lifestyle media and have a good sense of different styles of content.
  • You’re comfortable reading and communicating in English. We don’t expect you to be native-level, just comfortable reading and speaking in English when needed. If you can read this ad, you’re probably good.
  • You are a native-level Thai speaker and writer.
  • You are comfortable translating English into Thai.
  • You are keen to learn new skills and don’t mind helping outside your written job scope.

If you have those skills, you have what it takes. All of the skills listed below are a bonus:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years working in print or digital media preferred (we are open to talented candidates with slightly less experience)
  • Able to speak and understand written and spoken English
  • Able to translate from English to Thai
  • Stays on brief and communicates clearly with clients
  • Works well under pressure and always meets deadlines
  • Able to work independently, but works well with others, too
  • Has a keen and critical eye and never lets errors slip

Application Process

You’ll need to submit 1) a cover letter and 2) a resume to clarissa@coconuts.co. Please address your cover letter to “Dear whoever you are.” This is a test to see if you can follow instructions. Also, include your salary expectation for the position.
