So there’s a viral video going around online that supposedly shows a creature that resembles the mythical North American forest ape known as Bigfoot (a.k.a. Sasquatch, Yeti, or Harry from “Harry and the Hendersons”) emerging from a waterfall set amidst a jungle in Indonesia.
And yes, if you’ll observe closely, the Bigfoot does appear to be holding a human skull. Or a shopping bag. Or a blurry white thing.
If you aren’t convinced yet, here is the same video, but with scary music, which makes it much more believable.
So how do we know this video takes place in Indonesia? Because that’s what the title of the video says – duh. Also, many highly respected publications such as The Daily Mail, The Mirror and The Daily Star said that the video was from Indonesia, so it must be true.
As the Daily Star’s hard hitting investigation into the video found:
Viewers of the shocking clip – which has been seen thousands of times online – have suggested the creature could even be Bigfoot.
“There are three figures in the trees to the left of the waterfall as well,” one person commented.
Another said: “Wow that’s cool.”
Despite this overwhelming and cool evidence, there are some doubters online who say that the video is probably just that of a very tall man carrying a shopping bag, or, more likely, a fake made by an internet troll.
But Indonesians do have their own version of Bigfoot – mythical man-ape creatures known as “orang pendek” that supposedly live in the remote forests of Sumatra (although if you speak Indonesian you know “orang pendek” means short people, so it’s unlikely the giant humanoid in the video is one. Or that any of them exist for that matter).
So perhaps the video is fake. Okay, it almost for sure is fake. Like 99.999%. But what if it isn’t? WHAT IF?
