Fabioli de Oliviera, a 17-year-old sinetron actress, was seriously injured after she was splashed with strong acidic liquid by two unidentified men back in January.
Fabioli was riding home from school on a motorcycle with her friend, Adit. In Petamburan, they were followed by the two perpetrators on a motorcycle, who then splashed the liquid on Fabioli before driving away.
Fabioli was then taken to the nearby Pelni Hospital for treatment.
“My ear drum has a hole from the liquid’s splash. Half of my face is destroyed, as well as my arm, shoulder, and thigh,” Fabioli said, as quoted by Kompas today.
Luckily, plastic surgeons managed to fix Fabioli’s face after numerous intensive surgeries.
“The only thing that hasn’t healed is the hearing in my left ear,” she said.
Fabioli’s mother, Syuli Umboh, reported the incident to the Palmerah Police yesterday. She suspects that the two perps were thugs paid by her neighbor to target her daughter.
Syuli said that she has been embroiled in a conflict with her neighbor, identified by her initial N, after Syuli accused her of illegally adopting a child.
