The Bekasi Metro Police have arrested a 28-year-old man, identified by his initials DF, for allegedly claiming to be a photographer in order to sexually assault a model.

Recently, DF put out an online ad for models for a photoshoot, which attracted the attention of 23-year-old model FK. The victim, a mother of one, then got in contact with DF and arranged for a shoot.

“They then arranged to meet at a hotel in Bekasi,” said Bekasi Metro Police Deputy Chief Widjonarko, as quoted by Liputan 6 yesterday.

In the hotel room, DF had FK tied up on a bed for a pose, but went on to rape her. He then left her alone in the room after stealing her two cellphones and purse.

FK eventually managed to free herself and called for help. She reported the incident to the local police who managed to capture DF soon after.

DF may face up to 12 years in prison for sexual abuse and theft.

The police also revealed that DF was a repeat offender, having just been released from jail for a similar crime he had committed a few years ago.
