The mystery surrounding the death of University of Indonesia (UI) student Akseyna Ahad Dori, who was found drowned in Lake Kenanga on March 26, may soon be answered.

The police found a suicide note in Akseyna’s room when investigating into his death. It seems the note was written by Akseyna himself.

“That was indeed Akseyna’s handwriting,” said Depok Police Inspector Bagus Suwardi, after confirming the handwriting with Akseyna’s parents, as quoted by Tempo today.

Despite the suicide note, the police have not officially ruled out possibilities of homicide. The investigation into Akseyna’s death is ongoing.

The police have interviewed 15 witnesses so far, including 11 UI students.
