Old parking attendant deals marijuana to teens in Depok to increase income

The Depok Police arrested a 65-year-old parking attendant named Marlis who was caught with 14 kg of marijuana and 3 grams of meth on him.

Marlis is suspected of dealing the illegal narcotics to teens around the Tapos district of Depok.

“He admitted to selling drugs because he was enticed by the large income,” said Depok Police Chief Dwiyono, as quoted by Tempo yesterday.

Authorities managed to trace the drugs back to Marlis after the police arrested two dealers in Tapos with 29 packs of weed, who said they received their supply from Marlis.

When Marlis was arrested, he admitted that the supply chain didn’t end with him, as he received his product from a man called Napi. Marlis said he earned Rp 10 million for selling each pack of weed, which contained 10 kg of the wacky tobacky.

Marijuana dealers have been given the death penalty in the past.

The police are still trying to locate Napi and are closely investigating the drug supply chain.
