We The Fest 2016 is truly shaping up to be THE summer music festival of the year. Although they’ve already announced that they’ve got the likes of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis headlining the festival, the organizers haven’t been resting on their laurels. They recently announced even more internationally recognized music acts would be coming to WTF with their latest lineup update.
The 1975 joins Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Mark Ronson as the third headlining act of the festival. The post-modern pop band has become a massive commercial success globally in recent years, with their latest album, “I Like it When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of it” topping both the UK Albums chart and the US Billboard 200 upon its debut in February.
Aussie rockers The Temper Trap may be known around the world for their ultra popular single “Sweet Disposition”, but in Indonesia, the group evokes a certain sense of nationalistic pride since their lead singer, Dougy Mandagi, was actually born in Manado before moving to Hawaii and eventually Australia. The band’s third studio album is due to be released sometime this year.
This is We The Fest’s lineup so far, but keep in mind that the organizers are going to announce a third batch of acts in the near future:
