Doraemon is easily one of the most popular and iconic cartoon characters in Japan but comic books and TV shows featuring the adventures of the blue robotic cat and his pal Nobita are beloved in many other countries as well, including Indonesia, where Doraemon has long been a staple of kids entertainment.
Reghina Karwur, who lives in Manado, North Sulawesi is undoubtedly the biggest Doraemon fan in Indonesia. And if you measure fandom based on the amount of space in your house devoted to the object of your affection, the mother of two may just be the biggest Doraemon fan in the world.
Reghina has been letting the world into her house of Doraemon obsession via her Instagram page for quite a few years, but she recently made a viral splash after getting spotlighted by some foreign media including Japan’s Karapaia.
It seems Reghina’s family, including her husband and two children, share in her obsession with the time-traveling cat and are apparently not disturbed to see his blue, white and red visage peering at them from every corner of their home.
It looks like Reghina and her family may be in possession of every kind of Doraemon decorative item and collectible in existence: curtains, pillows, figurines, posters, shelves, clocks, even the tiles in the kitchen carry Doraemon’s smiling face.
Besides her family, Reghina also shares her love of Doraemon with other members of the Manado Doraemon lovers community and frequently holds giveaways of Doraemon goodies for her 40,000 plus Instagram followers.

Despite Doraemon’s wholesome image as a cartoon for all-ages, the cartoon actually ran afoul of Indonesia’s strict censors on at least one occasion when a local broadcaster blurred the image of Shizuka, a 9-year-old girl on the show, when she was wearing a bikini.
