The maker movement is strong in Jakarta but it got its start a few years back thanks to DIY enthusiasts like those behind Makedonia Makerspace on Jl Pangeran Antasari. This Saturday they’re celebrating their 5th anniversary with “a festival celebrating STEAM and creativity with full day of workshops” including maker classes on the Basics of Rasberry Pi, 3D Design, CnC Desktop and much more. Originally scheduled for World Cancer Day in February, this fun run to raise money for Yayasan Kanker Indonesia (Indonesian Cancer Foundation) has to be delayed due to permit issues but is ready for runners this Sunday. All profits from the IDR150k entry fee will go to the charity and participants will get a race pack including a t-shirt and goodie bag.
