Chromatic Network and Hybrid Sphere exhibitions
Curated by Evelyn Huang, Chromatic Network features the works by Korean artist Lee Kangwook and Indonesian artist Syaiful Aulia Garibaldi. Both artists, who share an interest in artistic approach towards biological research, explore human relations with nature through their works.
Aside from Chromatic Network, there’s also Hybrid Sphere, featuring works by Singaporean artists Asyraf Said and Nicole Phua as well as Mira Kim from South Korea. They have spent the last couple of months developing works based on artistic research in Indonesia.
This exhibition is running until tomorrow at Galeri Salihara, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, from 11am-8pm. Free entry

Edwin X Ladya Cheryl at Kinosaurus
Get a chance to learn about films by indie director Edwin and actress Ladya Cheryl, who starred in several films of the former, such as The Blind Pig Who Wants to Fly (2008) and Postcards from the Zoo (2012). The Q&A will commence after the Shorts: Edwin X Ladya screening, which is scheduled to start at 7pm.

In this exhibition, young Indonesian artists examine alternative landscapes, where traditional scenery artworks — almost synonymous with the Mooi Indie genre, the romantic-naturalistic style of painting that was popular during Dutch East Indies period — are deconstructed, redefined, reshaped, and reassembled.
This exhibition is currently running at Tujuhari Coffee at Grand Wijaya Center, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta until Feb 19. Free entry.
