John Wick may have overcome all of his enemies in his first two movies, but he may finally meet his match (and more) in the form of two Indonesian pencak silat masters in the third movie in his series, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.

A trailer for the upcoming sequel, released yesterday, features a very welcome surprise for Indonesian fans of the bloody fantastic action franchise: the inclusion of Yayan “Mad Dog” Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman, both of whom shot to global fame thanks to their roles in the critically-acclaimed Indonesian action film The Raid and its sequel.

Yayan and Cecep appear for a very brief but high octane tussle with John Wick starting at 1:57 in the trailer below.

The two seasoned martial arts stuntmen confirmed they would be playing killers hired to take on Keanu Reeve’s puppy-avenging badass in May of last year.

Yayan and Cecep are no stranger to featuring in Hollywood movies, perhaps most notably appearing in a cameo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens alongside fellow The Raid star Iko Uwais. Let’s just hope that they’ll get more screen time in John Wick than in Star Wars, because anything less than a 10-minute one-take hand-to-hand combat with Keanu Reeves would be a huge disservice to Yayan and Cecep’s amazing martial arts talents.

John Wick: Chapter 3 will see the titular character, played by Keanu Reeves, on the run after killing off a member of The High Table on Hotel Continental grounds in the second film. A global contract of US$14 million is placed on his head, and he doesn’t seem to have many options left besides kill or be killed.

Writer Derek Kolstad and director Chad Stahelski returns for the third installment of the John Wick series. The film, which is set to open in May, also stars Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Asia Kate Dillon, Jason Mantzoukas, Asia Kate Dillon, Hiroyuki Sanada, with Anjelica Huston and Ian McShane.
