Despite describing themselves as “Two dreamers in Seattle making imaginary soundtracks that very few people will ever hear”, the husband and wife duo of Mr & Mrs Muffin have a strong cult of fans who are in love with their gentle, dream-like songs, which layer elements like melodica, strings and airy choral arrangements to create gorgeous soundscapes and stories. They’ll be playing this Sunday at Paviliun 28 alongside Mondo Gascaro and Aprilia Apsari, while local indie acts Harlan and Clover will open.

Ruci Art Space’s Got Paper exhibit, which is holding its opening reception this Friday, will feature works that explore paper as a medium through drawings, paintings and collages. The exhibition will feature the works of five artists: Yeo Kaa (Manila), Natisa Jones (Bali), Feransis (Jakarta), Eddie Hara (Basel), and Abenk Alter (Jakarta). The exhibition will only be on display through Saturday so catch it while you can.

Dia.Lo.Gue in Kemang is the home of Reka Rupa Rasa, “an Asian illustration festival”. If features a curated exhibition of illustrations by 13 artists across numerous disciplines, including 10 of Indonesia’s top illustrators as well as international illustration stars from South Korea, Japan and Thailand. The exhibit goes until August 19 and there will be numerous talk shows and workshops on the weekends.
