Witness stories of survival and strength at House of the Unsilenced (Ends Sunday)

Featuring the works of sixteen artists, writers and performers, along with survivors of sexual violence from various backgrounds, the goal of this exhibition is to explore the ways that art and literature can become a medium for survivors to open up the eyes of society, break their silence, seek justice and achieve recovery. But what is achieved and sacrificed when telling these stories? What does it mean to turn trauma into art? How does art change the way they see themselves and the world? Those and many other themes are tackled by House of the Unsilenced, which will be on exhibit at Galeri Cemara through Sunday.  For more info
