Indonesian celeb Franda seems to have come around to the realization that there is no such thing as exclusive dibs on a baby name.

Previously, the 32-year-old TV host sent some unpleasant DMs to a couple criticizing them for naming their daughter after hers. In the DMs, Franda said she was frustrated as her daughter’s name, Zylvechia Ecclesie Heckenbucker, was an original invention of hers.

After screenshots of the DMs went viral and sparked huge criticism against Franda for her bizarre sense of entitlement, Franda went silent on social media for a few days before she eventually apologized to the parents of the younger Zylvechia, who we’ll refer to as Zylvechia K.

Screenshots of Franda’s apology messages were uploaded by Zylvechia K’s parents, who manage their daughter’s Instagram account, in a series of stories on Instagram yesterday.

“With all humility, I’d like to apologize for my words and behavior that have hurt your hearts and your family. I really did not intend to hurt you, especially your child. Initially, I sent the DM so that you would know and understand how meaningful the name Zylvechia is to our family, especially to me. But because of my ego and emotion, I realized that I conveyed [the message] in the wrong way,” Franda wrote in the DM.

“In the last few days, God made me realize that the name actually came from God. God Himself left the name in my heart to bring blessings to Vechia. […] As the name Zylvechia truly brought blessings to our family, hopefully the same blessings will also be brought upon your family. Once again I apologize to everyone… God bless.”

Zylvechia K’s parents appear to have forgiven Franda.

“We have accepted the apology from Franda sincerely, we didn’t have any intention to seek any benefit from this matter. To us, the name for our child is our prayer for her for all her life, which coincidentally was inspired by the name [of Franda’s daughter]. We hope these posts will calm down all the conflicts between us,” Zylvechia K’s parents wrote in an Instagram post.

Previously, screenshots of Franda’s online interaction with Zylvechia K’s parents went viral last weekend, with the TV host saying she was hurt that someone stole her daughter’s name.

“Seriously your baby doesn’t deserve that name! I made up that name by myself, I didn’t look from books or anywhere. I MADE IT MYSELF. I made the effort to find a good, unique name THAT HAS NEVER BEEN USED BY ANYONE for my daughter. And then you STOLE it for your daughter, whose age isn’t far from mine. The spelling is the same, the nickname is also the same, and you seem to be really proud of it. Do you understand how hurtful that is?” Franda wrote in her DM.

Later on, Zylvechia K’s father posted an explanation for her daughter’s name on Instagram, saying that he initially wanted to name her “Kimi” after the son of Taiwanese singer/actor/race car driver Jimmy Lin. However, he eventually gave in to his wife’s wish to name their daughter Zylvechia, after Franda’s daughter.
