Mooncake Festival at Pantjoran Tea House
Mooncake Festival is a celebration of the forthcoming autumn season, which falls every 15th day in the eighth month of the Chinese calendar. The celebration has been observed for more than 2,200, and is the second biggest holiday after the Chinese New Year. On this day, people usually eat mooncakes together.
This year, Pantjoran Tea House will celebrate this tradition with their own Mooncake Festival, carrying the theme of “celebrating mooncake and lantern walk”. Participants will learn how to make the mooncake, do the lantern walk along the historic Chinese heritage stores around the Pantjoran Tea House, as well as enjoying selections of dimsum and tea.
