The entrance is Rp 100k and all proceeds will go to the Rotary Club Houston to aid in flood relief and recovery. You can also donate money through the accounts noted in the Facebook post above. In addition to monetary support, they are also asking for donated items that could be auctioned off such as hampers, beverages, hotel stays etc. Event starts at 5pm.

There is so much love for Japanese food, entertainment and culture in Jakarta that it feels like there is some event celebrating it almost every weekend here. However, the Jak-Japan Matsuri is probably the longest running Japanese culture festival in the Indonesian capital. This year, the matsuri moves to Wisma Aldiron (off of Jl Gatot Subroto, near Pasar Minggu) but still promises lots of culture performances like taiko drumming, delicious Japanse treats like takoyaki and highly competitive cosplay contests. There will also be musical performances by the likes of Tompi, Tulus and, of course, the capital’s very own J-Pop girl band JKT 48. Tickets are Rp 30k. For more info go to jakjapanmatsuri.com
