‘Randomness’: solo exhibition by Farrah Faustine Tansri

Earlier this month, celebrated young artist Farrah Faustine Tansri turned 17. She’s transitioning to the next phase, which will be more challenging. At such a young age, she spends most of her time drawing and painting — she almost never repeats the lines she draw because it’s usually done in one pull. Farrah usually paints objects such as flowers, animals, and abstract shapes that strike motion and dynamics. This exhibition is curated by Asikin Hasan.

This exhibition is currently running until Sunday, Sept 22 at Art: 1 New Museum, Central Jakarta. 10am-6pm, Tue-Sat; 10am-5pm, Sun. IDR97,000/person via Traveloka.

Chaos in The CBD at Kilo Lounge Jakarta

Join the party at Kilo Lounge this Friday with New Zealand House and Techno duo, Chaos in The CBD. Hailing from Auckland, the duo consists of brothers Ben (AKA Beans) and Louis Helliker-Hales. Since 2012, they’ve been based in South London’s Peckham and have been a part of the district’s tight-knit dance community, but they still hold onto the memories of the chill summers in NZ for their inspiration.

Chaos in The CBD’s set will be supported by Aryo Izrail and a member of Kilo Lounge’s in-house collective Basement Traxx, Sergio Berlino.

Friday, Sept 20 at Kilo Lounge Jakarta, South Jakarta from 10.3pm onwards. IDR200,000 for pre-sale via Go-Tix or Loket; IDR250,000 at door with price including one drink.
