Dash cam captures water tanker suddenly rolling over on highway in Tuen Mun

The driver of a water tanker was injured this morning after his vehicle apparently lost control and rolled onto its side while driving down a highway in Tuen Mun.

Dash cam footage posted online shows the tanker begin to swerve just after passing another truck, veering back and forth before finally tipping onto its side and grinding to a halt after sliding some 100 meters.




According to Headline Daily, the incident happened at about 6am on Tuen Mun Road as the water tanker was approaching the Sham Tseng Bridge, headed towards Tsuen Wan.

On.cc reports that the the driver, a 66-year-old surnamed Lu, was trapped in the driver’s seat.

Lu reportedly sustained injuries to the head, but was rescued by firefighters at the scene, and taken to hospital in a semiconscious state.

The road was closed for three hours so the site could be cleaned, and was reopened at around 9am.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
