Footage of a Chinese man flashing his twig and berries at a Filipina on public transport last week has been shared widely amongst the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) community.

The video, which was uploaded by a Facebook user (link NSFW) on Saturday, shows a woman sitting down on a tram while a middle-aged man stands behind her in tiny khaki shorts, regularly lifting the hem of his Boy Scouts-esque apparel to reveal his penis and testicles.

While she doesn’t say anything, based on her expression, the woman filming the video is clearly feeling a mix of emotions — namely discomfort, disgust, irritation, and a certain resignation that pretty much all women who’ve ever had their personal space invaded (i.e. all women) in public will be familiar with.

The flasher gets increasingly brazen, lifting his shorts higher to expose the majority of his genitalia and staring directly into the camera without a hint of shame. As the woman gets up from her seat — whether she’s reached her stop or simply had enough is unclear — she passes by a fellow Filipina, and says, “Piece of shit. He was showing his balls.”

When the second woman asks, “Who?”, the first woman says, “That guy. I took a video of it… He was next to me. Really annoying. I was sitting […] and he showed me his balls.”

On a later post, the uploader says “If this were in the Philippines I would hit you in the balls, you animal.”

The video, which was uploaded on Saturday evening, has been viewed over 500,000 times and shared over 800 times. It is not clear if the woman who filmed it reported the flasher to the police. Upon conviction, a person who indecently exposes themselves in any public place or in view of the public is guilty of an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of HKD1,000 and imprisonment for six months.
