(Video) Learner driver collides with truck which then drives over traffic light and into wall

An unlucky learner driver might have to take some refresher lessons judging by this dash cam footage.

The video — which was originally posted on Facebook this afternoon — shows the young motorist missing a traffic light in Chai Wan and ploughing into a truck heading across the intersection.

The truck then mows down a traffic light and rams into a wall.

According to Headline Daily, the incident took place at the intersection between Siu Sai Wan Road and Sun Yip Street in Chai Wan.

The newspaper reported that van driver was a 26-year-old female learner driver who was accompanied by her driving instructor.

Police cordoned off the area when they arrived at the scene.

Three people who were taken to hospital included the learner driver who sustained injuries to her neck and leg; a 47-year-old man who reported injuries to his hand and leg; and the 36-year-old driver of the other truck who sustained injuries to his neck, chest, and waist.
