(Video) Cyclist does an ‘endo’ to try and avoid police car

We here at Coconuts Hong Kong know the perils of cycling on Hong Kong’s busy roads, and just like this lucky cyclist in Yuen Long, this cyclist also made a lucky escape.

#HKdashcamwatch is back with this video taken on Friday showing what looks like the normal morning slog to work.

A police car can be seen driving across the busy road, and then suddenly, a cyclist appears and almost rides headfirst into the police car.

The cyclist tries to avert a disaster by pivoting on his front wheel until the back wheel of his bike hits the back of the police car causing him to fall off his bike.

This move is commonly known as an ‘endo’ and there’re plenty of YouTube tutorials if you want to practice.

It appeared to work well enough for the cyclist in the clip, who went on his way after a quick check by the policeman for damage to the car.
