If you looked up from your phone once in a while, you’d see that pretty much all Hongkongers are constantly facing a screen. Whether for work or entertainment, modern technology has taken over our daily lives, making the idea immersing ourselves in an 100 percent digital free environment either hell or paradise, depending on where you stand.
On Sept. 27 and 28, lifestyle event production company Hybrid will launch the first ever edition of OffGrid, a two-day one-night camping experience on Palm Beach, Lantau Island.
The event offers attendees the chance to detox in both body and mind by dropping all things digital at the door.
To keep participants occupied, Hybrid has teamed up with a wide range of companies to provide activities such as circuit training (S.C.A.A Gym), Muay Thai & Thai Boxing (SPARKS Fitness), yoga (Yoga Bam Bam), dance classes (InPulse Productions) and meditation (Balance Health).
Catering will also be provided by Pololi, Healthy Chicken, Super Food Lab and Spice Box Organics, while campers can bag themselves some exclusive free gifts, such as sport goodies from Reebok, sunscreen from Coppertone and coupons for various food and beverage companies.
Tickets are on sale until the Sept. 26. Get on your evil computer and book them now!
