Authorities are investigating the collapse this afternoon of scaffolding mounted on a Hong Kong factory, which left two workers injured.

According to the SCMP, the structure, attached to the Galaxy Factory Building in San Po Kong’s Luk Hop Street, gave way at about 3:30pm.

Emergency services rescued two workers who were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

According to Apple Daily, the pair sustained head and neck injuries.

The newspaper reported that a third worker who was with the pair at the time the scaffolding fell down was not injured.

A Fire Services Department spokeswoman told the SCMP the scaffolding measured about 15 meters by 20 meters.

She said 10 fire engines, three ambulances, and two search dogs were deployed to the scene.

Officials from the Labour Department, the Architectural Services Department, and the police are investigating the cause of the collapse.
