The man believed to have been behind the wheel of a tiny car that did big damage last week is behind bars.

Police in Hong Kong’s Yau Ma Tei area yesterday arrested a 38-year-old man surnamed Yiu over the hit-and-run that injured six people.

Yiu was charged with dangerous driving, driving a vehicle without a license, and for unauthorized taking of a motor vehicle. No charges are pending for his “1CE BABY” license plate, which, while ridiculous, is entirely legal. He will appear in Kowloon City Magistrates’ Court today, hk01 reports.

On Friday morning, a pink Toyota iQ with the aforementioned Vanilla Ice-inspired registration hit pedestrians, a minibus, and a double decker bus at intersections on Nathan Road in Yau Ma Tei. The front bumper of the car also came off during the incident.

Dash cam footage circulated online showing a man wearing black driving the car, parking it near the Yau Ma Tei fruit market, then fleeing.

Six people aged 6 to 58 years old were injured in the hit-and-run and taken to Kwong Wah Hospital. All six people had minor injuries and have been discharged from the hospital, the website reports.

Hk01 reported that the car was also registered under the name of a female with the last name Chan.
