The point is, they’re back.

Months after police arrested a suspect for putting needles in bus seats, a passenger has again been injured by a pin poking out on a double decker, according to reports.

The incident yesterday comes amid another resurgence in someone/several people being dicks and sticking needles in bus seats.

Injured, according to Headline Daily was a 63-year-old man, who was poked in the hip with a three centimeter sewing needle as he sat down on a level priority seat on the lower level of the route 15A bus around 7:45am.

Traveling from Ping Tin Estate in Lam Tin to Tsz Wan Chan in Wong Tai Sin, he told the driver, who reported it to police just before 8am.

According to The Standard, the victim, surnamed Chu, was sent to United Christian Hospital for treatment. An overnight security guard who had just finished work at Enterprise Square in Kowloon Bay and was on his way home, he said he was tired and didn’t notice the needle which was planted with its point facing upwards.

Chu is the first person injured by a needle since July, when police arrested a 30-year-old man accused of sticking needles in at least three buses after developing a grudge against the  Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) company for missing his stops.

However, the trend’s picked up again this month, according to Apple Daily, with pins found sticking out of seats on City Bus buses that covered routes NA21 and E21. Another needle was discovered on a 259D KMB bus last Wednesday.

Madness.
