That’s one way to get a Hong Kong taxi to stop in the early hours.

Several young men, lads of Hong Kong, upset some cabbies early Sunday morning by pinching some police traffic cones and setting up their own road block on Grantville Road at about 4am.

And, my, they had a giggle fest.

Lining the sides of the roads, the fellas waved down one taxi driver, before asking for a ride to Hung Hom Station, according to on.cc.

The driver, a little unsure of what’s going on, inquires whether they’re serious.

They indicate, indirectly, that they are not.

“My friend, do you want to vomit?” the young man says, reveling in his moment of bro-witnessed glory.

“I will provide you will a rubbish bin,” he continued, offering the traffic cone.

The driver drove off in a huff, leading to more boyish giggles.

Their antics are doing the rounds on social media, drawing some rebukes from netizens who called them “idiots” that “should be sent to the police.”

Judging by Hong Kong’s laws, they’d probably have a case to answer.

According to Road Traffic Ordinance, anyone who moves or destroys a traffic sign without a permit faces a potential fine of HK$1,000 (US$128) and possible imprisonment for up to three months.

Probably less fun for them in that scenario.
