Infant injured after his mum was allegedly beaten by her boyfriend

Police are on the hunt for a suspect who allegedly hit his girlfriend this morning, resulting in her infant son also getting injured in the process.

At around 6am today, a 43-year-old woman surnamed Cheung reportedly got into a dispute with her boyfriend at her home in Tai Kok Tsui, Apple Daily reports.

During their argument, Cheung’s boyfriend allegedly beat her, resulting in the 43-year-old falling on a bed where her 11-month-old son was sleeping. The impact reportedly threw the infant off the bed, causing him to land on the floor and hit his head.

After her boyfriend left, Cheung called the police and took her son to hospital for treatment. A police investigation is underway and officers are now looking for Cheung’s boyfriend.

No arrests have been made so far.
