Finally, some good news for Galaxy Note 7 users.
Samsung Hong Kong announced today that those with the permanently discontinued smartphone will be able to receive either a full refund or exchange it for a Galaxy S7 Edge model.
Galaxy Note 7 users in Hong Kong are advised to take their phone and the original copy of their receipt to the outlet where it was purchased – including phone shops, retailers or distributors – to obtain a full refund, or a shiny new S7 Edge model, reports local media.
If you opt for a refund, you’ll need to also bring the original packaging and any accessories contained within.
The announcement came after uncertainty yesterday regarding what the local arm of the tech company planned to do with users of the problematic smartphone, the global sales of which have been halted for good (reason).
