We almost can’t quite believe it, but Christmas is really just around the corner. Obviously St. Nick got the memo that Crimbo is almost upon us, judging by these photos of a Santa “biker gang” tearing through Sai Wan to spread the joy over the weekend.
On Friday morning, a woman surnamed Lau shared snaps of around 10 people in Santa gear (and one lone reindeer) zipping through town on motorbikes to a Facebook group for Western District residents, with the caption, “Why is Santa delivering presents so early?”
While it’s unclear where the Santas were going (perhaps to do some last minute gift shopping?), some commented that they believed the “parade” was held every year. “I saw them last year at the Peak and they were cheering!” said a commenter. “Heading off to a Christmas party already?” said another, as if we haven’t all collectively given up on work for the year.
A dashcam video posted on the group showed what appeared to be the same bunch of motorcyclists in Happy Valley at one point, where they even stopped their bikes and posed for onlookers.

Okay, if this is an annual thing, we’d love to see some elves join next year. Maybe a snowman too, to mix things up a bit.
