Ex-boyfriend suspected of stabbing yoga instructor 30 over times appears in court

A 28-year-old man in Hong Kong, who has been charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend, a yoga instructor, appeared in court on Monday.

According to local media reports, Aqua Chow, 23, who was scheduled to fly to the US for further studies last Thursday, went missing the day before. 

She was later found dead with over 30 stab and cut wounds in a bathtub in a room at the Ritz-Carlton. 

The case was brought up in the Kowloon City Magistrates’ Courts on Monday. 

According to HK01, the case has been adjourned until October 17, pending further investigation by the police.

The defendant did not apply for bail and has been remanded to custody. 

The court identified the defendant as Alex Lo and said he was unemployed. He kept his head down throughout the court session, the online news portal added.
