Enthusiastic response to mainlanders boycotting travel to HK

According to the Apple Daily, Hong Kong netizens have welcomed mainlanders decision to boycott HK from Jun. 1 onwards.

Hong Kong netizens are responding to mainland tourists who recently declared  “we are consumers, and we are god” and that they will boycott travel and shopping in Hong Kong so that Hongkongers will feel the results of losing mainland tourists.

A mainland netizen wrote a post on a public forum calling fellow mainland Chinese citizens not to visit Hong Kong starting Jun. 1. In his post, he wrote: “When we mainland Chinese decide not to visit Hong Kong at all for one month, two months, or three months, we will see how Hong Kong people feel. They will beg for us to visit. Now we should use our actions to show our dissatisfaction. Let us all not shop in Hong Kong.”

When Hong Kong netizens heard about this, they were thrilled and hoped that the mainland consumers will really do as they say.
