A European Christmas

Over in TST, Hugo’s is planning something extra special this Christmas, with an array of festive treats added to the menu to whet your appetite. Brunch on Christmas Day (HKD908) sounds just as appealing, with a semi-buffet including Seafood-on-Ice, freshly prepared US Rib of Beef and Pan-Fried Australian Pink Snapper among the offerings between 11:30am and 3:00pm. Have a meaty December

Free-range turkey (HKD780) is up for grabs at Fish & Meat from Dec. 1 – 26, making it an ideal venue your office Christmas party, particularly as it’s just a short stumble from where the fun’s at. If Turkey Breast and Leg dished up alongside Italian Sausage, Hazelnut with Sage and Creamy Polenta isn’t enough to entice you, the Peachy Christmas Cocktail, made with Rittenhouse Rye Whisky, Amero Montenegro, red wine, Spiced Poached Peach and Lemon, surely will be.

Christmas Aussie style

It’s not quite Christmas on the beach, but given the chilly climes in Honkers during December, the Backyard’s Australian Home Barbeque Buffet will be about as close as you’ll really want to get. Diners can enjoy a choice of Australian Lamb Chops, Rib-Eye Steak and New Zealand King Prawns as well as a tantalising Seafood Platter including Shucked Oysters, Lobster and New Zealand Mussels. Evening dinner from 7pm –10pm (HKD550) and free-flow drinks (HKD158), including boutique beer and house red and white wines, in addition to specially designed festive cocktails, offer the perfect excuse to let your hair down this Christmas – as if you need one!

The trio is completed by the Minced Turkey mixed with Water Chestnut, Mushroom and Bamboo and served in a Lettuce Cup. The special menu (HKD1,680) commences on Nov. 24, and free-range turkey must be ordered 72 hours in advance. Trust us, this is a turkey feast and not to be missed!

All I want for Christmas is Jamie

Bustling Causeway Bay is where’s you’ll find British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant, imaginatively called “Jamie’s Italian”. The name may not be original, but the Italian twist to the festive menu certainly is. Oliver’s team have come up with some scrummy-sounding Christmas treats for the reasonably-priced set menus (HKD350 and HKD500). Wrap your lips around Jamie’s Famous Meat Plank (behave!) of fresh Pistachio Mortadella, Tuscan Fennel Salami, and Buffalo Mozzarella for starters, and Italian Roast Turkey or Gennaro’s Festive Porchetta for mains. Round the meal off with a choice of sumptuous desserts and mince pies.
