BMW hits taxi in Cheung Sha Wan, BMW passengers claim their driver fled scene

A traffic accident involving a BMW and a taxi occurred yesterday on Un Chau Street in Cheung Sha Wan, reports Ming Pao.

The BMW reportedly hit the taxi in the middle, creating a massive dent along with serious damage to the car’s body and windows.

When police arrived on the scene they found three males and one female, all aged 23 (what are the chances?!), in the BMW. All four claimed that they were passengers and that the driver fled the scene of the accident.

The four were taken back to the police station when officers smelled alcohol on them.

The 51-year-old driver of the taxi, surnamed Chan, and his 31-year-old passenger, surnamed Wong, both suffered serious head injuries.

Wong’s situation is stable, but Chan’s condition is much more serious and he was immediately sent to hospital for medical attention.

The police believe that another 23-year-old man, surnamed Wu, is the BMW driver who fled the scene.

A barrister said that if an investigation revealed one of the BMW passengers was actually the driver, they could be charged with obstruction of justice as well as dangerous driving.
